Born and raised in Northern California, Maliyah Shavers brings a unique perspective and unwavering dedication to her work. She strives to make a difference for individuals and families in need.
Attorney Shavers earned her bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Nevada, Reno. She went on to receive a master's in Legal Studies from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and completed her Juris Doctorate at Southern University Law Center.
After completing her final semester of law school in Shreveport, Attorney Shavers felt warmly welcomed by the local legal community and decided to call Shreveport her new home.
Prior to joining Morris & Dewett Injury Lawyers, Attorney Shavers served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Shonda Stone at the Second Circuit Court of Appeal. This experience provided invaluable insights into the appellate process and strengthened her writing.
When away from the office, Attorney Shavers enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and binge-watching competition cooking shows like Top Chef.
