SATURDAY GUN SHOW RESULTS IN 5 INJURED VICTIMS

This past Saturday there were three separate gun shows in the states of Ohio, North Carolina and Indiana that resulted in the accidental shootings of 5 victims. According to reports, each of these gun shows was peaceful gathering at state capitals throughout the United States in order to stand up against the newer gun law restrictions attended by thousands of gun users. It is stated that one of the accidents occurred in North Carolina when the gun owner opened the case for a law enforcement officer to examine it. It allegedly discharges at the point of the case opening ultimately injuring three people at this point.

Two of the victims were just bystanders a little ways off, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment. The third victim was slightly injured in his hand, though it was a very minor injury. According to Sherriff Donnie Harrison, the owner of the shotgun, Gary Lynn Wilson, originally brought the gun to sell it to a private owner. Though intending to cause no harm at the event, the Sherriff claims that they are uncertain as to whether or not they will press charges.

In Indiana, the gun owner shot himself accidently when he was leaving the premises that day. According to the state police, no loaded personal weapons are allowed on the premises of the gun show. The fifth and final incident occurred when a gun owner was looking at his new purchase when it accidentally went off, hurting his friend who was standing nearby. The shot was fired into the ground though it ricocheted off of the floor injuring his friend’s leg and arm.

While the cause that these gun owners were gathering for is entirely their preference, the issue at hand is the fact that there were injured victims as a result. If you or someone you know has been injured by even an accidental gunshot, don’t feel as though you must sit back and do nothing. Sadly, accidents happen every day and as a result people are injured or killed.
