We recently had the chance to show our support for:
- Sportspectrum 2020 Firecracker 5k Race for Research: You might recognize Sportspectrum as Shreveport’s favorite locally owned and operated run shop. But did you know that they help organize a charity race, run, and walk that raises funds for the Spine Institute of Louisiana Foundation? This not-for-profit organization is one of the nation’s leaders for spine injury research, and Sportspectrum has figuratively had the group’s back for years thanks to their fundraising races. We were happy to donate this year to such a good cause that really resonates with us as personal injury lawyers. Click here to find out more Sportspectrum and all that they do.
- Fan Drive hosted by Rho Omega Chapter: The annual Fan Drive is for elderly members who cannot get out of the house during the hot summers and who struggle to maintain independence in their own homes. Rho Omega Chapter set out to collect 150 fans to distribute to elders in need – but it ultimately reached almost 200! The fans were delivered to the Caddo Council on Aging (CCOA). This group is dedicated to helping elders in Shreveport and the surrounding area feels safe, healthy, and independent as they age. From all of us at Morris & Dewett, we have to say we are big fans of both CCOA and the Rho Omega Chapter!
