In an effort to help spread a little holiday cheer this Thanksgiving, Attorney B. Trey Morris donated 150 turkeys and 50 pies in support of the Shreveport Salvation Army’s annual Thanksgiving feast for the needy. Attorney Morris and volunteers from the Salvation Army went to a local Walmart and purchased the turkeys, which were to be prepared and served to more than 1,100 people.
Hundreds of volunteers came together to prepare the feast, which ended up being a great success. After putting out a call for turkey donations, the community came together in a big way and donated more turkeys than the Salvation Army had room for. Attorney Morris is proud to be able to give back to the community and hopes to continue to support those who are less fortunate.
