Sunday marked a tragic day for a Jewish community in the state of New York when they were notified of a 21 year old married couple who was killed in a fatal hit and run car accident. This accident resulted in not only both the adults, but also their 7 month old unborn baby boy to die as a result of the accident. Doctors performed a cesarean section as an attempt to save the babies life, and he survived until he following morning; he was pronounced dead early Monday. The incident occurred as the wife complained she wasn’t feeling well; they called a taxi and was on their way to the hospital when the car was slammed into by an oncoming BMW. The driver of the taxi received only minor injuries, though the parents died in the accident as a result of blunt force trauma.
Yesterday, a suspect was identified for allegedly being responsible for the accident that led to the death of three innocent victims. According to New York police reports, Julio Acevedo has a long history of arrests and jail time and also was convicted of a DWI just last month. Police also discovered that he spent a decade behind bars for manslaughter charges in the 90’s. This man is currently still wanted for the murder, and police are doing whatever they can to locate the man responsible for this tragic accident.
Whether this man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, he is still responsible for taking the lives of innocent people.
